The Evolution of My Mind

Today we read two poems, but the most memorable was “Mother To Son” by Langston Hughes. One of the themes was “ Even when life throw you obstacles, continue to persevere”. This was very necessary to hear because right now life and I are fighting. I’m so ready to give up and throw in the towel, but I know that I wasn’t built to break. Trying to maintain an optimistic mindset is challenging, but I’m accepting the challenge. Like the mother in the poem, I’m going to keep climbing; Besides, I have came to far to give up.

I was absent today because of an ambassador event. During the event I gave a speech. The speech was about a minute long, but it felt like it lasted a lifetime. I was nervous will giving my speech; fortunately, I didn’t mess up or sound scripted.

Kahoot

Today we played Kahoot to review the short story “Yellow-Wallpaper. My group came in first place and as a result we earned a total of twenty five  points. Even though we ended up in first place, earning the top position was no easy job; we were constantly back and fourth between the top three spots. Earning the top spot was definitely an accomplishment.
