Proud To Be

Unfortunately I wasn’t present in class today due to NHS ceremonial practice.  Practice was very productive. We consistently reviewed the speeches in the order in which the speaker would speak. As I presented the pledge, I reflected over my time here at Ben. C. Rain High School. Attending school here has been bittersweet. I have met some wonderful people and developed many bonds that are now broken. I have grown as a student and more importantly a person. I have overcome obstacles that have made me become a better me. I glad I’m graduating as a Red Raider.

  Exploring the unknown is valuable and beneficial because it welcomes more discoveries. The Wright brothers, Wibur and Orvile,  explored the unknown by creating the first airplane in the twentieth century. Their invention forever changed society. For it provided another way to travel and it paved the way for other air crafts to be built. Christopher Columbus voyage to explore the Asia led to the discovery of the Americas. By him exploring the unknown many native tribes and European people came in contact with each other. As a result of exploring the unknown, many discovers can be made.

Ambassador Event

I was absent today because of an ambassador event. During the event I gave a speech. The speech was about a minute long, but it felt like it lasted a lifetime. I was nervous will giving my speech; fortunately, I didn’t mess up or sound scripted.

Kahoot

Today we played Kahoot to review the short story “Yellow-Wallpaper. My group came in first place and as a result we earned a total of twenty five  points. Even though we ended up in first place, earning the top position was no easy job; we were constantly back and fourth between the top three spots. Earning the top spot was definitely an accomplishment.
